Fine by me. People are always looking for a reason to give someone a bye when they do something wrong. Kudo's to you for not.

Oh, gotta add a prediction. Your "friend" will be mad at you for reporting him, not at himself for his behavior.

You followed the rules so I see no harm. And he'll never know that it was you who reported him unless you tell him so don't worry about it.

Definitely. Friend or not, you report EVERYONE who swears and makes mean fun of anybody.

For their own good, mate. For their own good.

I couldn't care less, what your friend was doing would have ticked me off.

If it was my best friend I still would have reported him. But only after telling him to stop first and he doesn't.

I don't care but personally I never report a friends.
When you're friends with someone you gotta be their friend, don't backstab them like that.
Maybe tell them that they're being an idiot or unfriend them but don't report them while they're still your friends.

Being their friend doesn't mean giving them a pass. You can come up with as many examples of why as I can. I won't waste the typeing.

Personally, I don't like being around that behavior so I'd tell him to knock it off. If he kept acting immature I wouldn't hesitate to report him.

Doesn't matter if we think it's a good idea, it's if you think it was a good idea.

Personally if it's on a level where I have to report them, I would no longer even want to be their friend so I wouldn't care of their punishment. I don't report anyone if I'm not prepared to put them on my ignore list. So really depends how good of a friend.

If it was somebody I was good friends with, I'd message them to stop, tell them I don't like it (don't mind swearing, but I hate censor evasion), reminding them that the rules are based for eight year olds, how stupid censor evading is, and what would most likely be accomplished if they continue. If they don't stop, they're an idiot and deserve what they get.

Also depends how serious it is or if it's in a joking manner. I could care less about empty threats of scamming me or hacking my account. XD

Don't expect your friendship to stay the same. Also, if they ask you if it was you, don't deny doing it. If you're going to deny it if they ask you might as well cut all connections with them now. Dishonesty isn't something they want from their friends, and it's blatant that it was you who reported if you asked him to stop first.
Report evdience:
********: would you please stop?
yourfriend26: no
yourfriend26: mods r **** *** lololol **** u all
You can also tell him how stupid he was etc, and why you reported him.

At the time of reporting, I thought that he doesent deserve to play runescape if he wsas going to do that. And, just in case anyone here thoguht I didn't know them in real life, they are wrong. I was in the same room as him on the time of the reporting. And Colin, its his own fault that he got reported.

I wouldn't report friends who ask for personal information or tell me all kind of websites. I can easily live without those rules that forbid that. However if they start swearing and keep on swearing (i mean bypassing the filter with that) after I told them to stop, then I report them. They're bugging me with their swearing and I gave them a chance to stop. That's enough in my opinion.

No tbh I don't think I'd ever report a friend on rs, whether I knew them irl or not. I reckon a friendship's much more important than whatever rule it is they're breaking anyway.

... and if someone's annoying me, I'll just turn my chat to "off" for a while, and/or change worlds.

Depends if it's a joke or serious.

Usually, you don't really swear and insult others as a joke. So I believe it's right to report him.

NOTE; I personally would not do that to my friends, as I know they'd not be stupid enough to swear and insult for no reason. :)

Don't regret what you did. You can't go back in time anyway so don't worry about that.
