I have just checked out the fire and body altars using one of my f2p accounts. I counted the seconds walking, as energy doesn't last long on f2p. From the fire altar to either the Al Kharid main bank or the Duel Arena bank is about 30 secs. From the body altar to Edgeville is about 40 secs (going north to the wilderness ditch and round the Edgeville store.) So the fire altar is the best bet for time. Also I believe that more people will use, and therefore buy, fire runes. Body runes always seemed a bit useless to me. |

Fire I fear. (Consider ponying up the $5 for memebership. You'll go a lot faster.) |

Erm rodsay you can go north through barbarian village which is far faster than going around the edgy stores. Agility transfers over to f2p so if you had the same weight in p2p&f2p you'll be able to run the same amount of time and energy restore has to do with your agility level and not your weight so.. (keep your weight down Kalarny) You forgot to include costs and experience from the runes. You get more experience from body runes and body runes probably sell for more than fires making them cheaper to make. Go with Body runes. |

Go with Body runes. Unless I'm missing something, people don't usually buy Body Runes. They're usually bought by people thinking they're going to get 99 Magic for 3M, when they fail to realize that'd take years. At any rate, you make 2 of either rune per essence. I think Bodies are a bit cheaper, but you'll have to make 1k or more then try to sell. If they take more than a day or whatever, you might want to just stick with Fire Runes. Even still, I got from 1-45 Runecrafting strictly off of Airs and Minds. One of my best F2P friends (also IRL friend) was 56 Runecrafting when he came to members, and all of that was off of airs and minds as well. They're fairly quick, and you'll make quite a few each run. Don't discount it till you check them out. |

If you look at the world map the distance is about the same whichever way you go round. Anyway I had to leave something for him to check out himself ![]() On GE yesterday someone wanted to buy 150k of fire runes and evidently wasn't getting them, so the market is there. Airs and minds also will always be bought. Depends if you are in 'want it yesterday' mode; why does everyone have to count seconds? |

I would just use the air altar, its closest to a bank. The exp is less but not by much and the market is huge for airs plus youd get alot more because of the multiplier. |

I'd go with air. You get a bit less exp per hour with it but it's a lot easier to sell and you make profits. In the end it might take you less time to do airs than fire if you have to buy and sell ess all the time. |

I would suggest airs as well. You can sell them and use the profit from them to buy more ess and just keep repeating the process. |

First of all I don't want to argue over the time to the bank so I won't. (you might be right but idk) If you really want to prove me wrong do time trials both ways. Yes there's a large market for elemental runes but body runes are 37.5xp each when fire runes are 35xp each. You may look at that and say it isn't a big difference but if you're going to be crafting say 250k runes you'll want to go with bodies, it WILL save alot of time. I don't really know the prices of runes but if bodies are worth more than fires wouldn't you be willing to wait a day or two to sell them and get more money from them? If body runes are worth less than fires then wouldn't you be willing to give up that extra gp for more, faster experience? But, it's your choice Kalarny. |
