According to tip.it: "An intensive study has shown that cooking gauntlets affect monkfish cooking success, but only slightly. At cooking levels over 80, the improvement rate averaged a mere 2.5%. Stop burning levels are not available at this time. Jagex has not announced any affect of gauntlets on cooking monkfish." Does anybody know the level without gaunts then? |

based off the fishing levels required to catch fish and their stop burn levels, theres about a 30-40 level gain required for most mainstream fish to stop burning. so if that rule followed for monkfish, it would be about 102 cooking to not burn them. someone with 99 cooking should drink soem chef's delight and see if they burn any out of a few hundred. of course, with cooking gauntlets, it would seem plausable that there is a stop burning level somewhere past 90 cooking, but theres no proof. your best bet is to assume you'll always burn a few monks out of a load. |

I say that as soon as you're 80-85 you should start cooking them. You might burn a few but it's justifiable. I mean, the exp will be faster than lobsters anyway and you won't lose that much money will you? |

I believe 90+ with gaunts is no burn for monks, then 96 for sharks, but 94+ you burn 1 shark per invy so the extra xp is worth the burns. |

There is -no- level where you stop burning monks entirely. I'm 99, and burnt one out of about 5k i cooked. Once you hit around level 90 or so the rate is so low so as to be unnoticeable, so i'd do lobs to 85, monks from 85-94, then sharks from 94-99. Guants supposedly don't effect monks, but like has been said it's disputed - so just wear them anyway. |

There is not currently a non-burn level, my brother burnt one at level 92, you just have a very high success rate of cooking them at 85+, maybe 99.5% or so. |

I am a level 87 cooking. I burn 1 or 2 per load without gauntlets. With them, I don't burn any. Just another data point. Hope it helps. |
