Post subject: | Runescape Server - Sketchy Connection |
Anyone recently been experiencing a sketchy connection to the runescape server? Everything freezes, then a few seconds later the game un-freezes and you suddenly lurch to where you clicked to go to. If it's just me, can anyone tell me any ways to stop this; I was on Firefox, but switched to IE7 when I noticed the freezing thing, but there was no difference. Any help will be appreciated. |

Doesn't happen to me... And try to play RuneScape in either the RuneScape client by JaGeX or on FireFox and see if it helps you. |

The problem, for me, with the Runescape Client is that if I try to click on something such as MSN, while I have the Runescape Client open, it takes a good few seconds to do it and the windows go white for a few seconds, as opposed to them instantly changing. |

That could be because of the RuneScape client takes pretty much of your ram and CPU which could slow it down a bit when starting new applications. |

I've actually been experiencing some lag. I would lose the connection every so often then it would come back. |

I'm not at all, but that could be because I have a quad core processor and 4gb of ram. ![]() |

I don't have any more lag than normal. Only recently when there was a storm. Storms screw up my wireless internet. There are so many possible things that could be causing it. Maybe it is the specific server you are on, or maybe Runescape just takes up alot of your RAM. Do you use the same server every time you play? |

hm... i have a really old computer, and i experience similar problems. Try closing out all unnessessary programs and close out other webpages. If the probem's with your internet, then contact your ISP. Also, has anybody noticed something where you just log out randomly and can't log back in for 60 seconds? |

I've found that MSN Messenger has big problems, even to the point of killing your internet for 10-20 minutes. I, and somebody else here had that problem a while ago. Try closing MSN Messenger sometimes and using a web messenger like Meebo or IloveIM sometimes, see if that solves some of you lag/connection issues. |
