Do u guys know how to tell what protects over a whip when ur skulled?

Wait, is this topic suggesting that Protect Item, the prayer, doesnt protect a whip if the wielder dies with skullz?

It depends on the items shop value. Protect Item prayer only Protects the highest valued item that you have on you. Anything else lower then that gets left behind. A whip is not the highest valued item on the game, so naturally somthings will be worth more then that.

Don't understand why a whip is soo cheap in shops and then soo expensive in player trade.

Because it's a lot rarer than a dragon long. Drag longs and such have a set price since they're sold in stores. Whips are only dropped by one monster that requires a high level to kill. As long as people are willing to pay a certain amount, the whip will stay at that amount. People think a whip is worth the 3m gp, so therefore it's valued at that.

If everyone refused to buy at that price, the price would obviously fall.

And Jagex priced it lower in general stores for whatever random reason that they chose to. Probably because dragon items are meant to be legendary, therefore the general store would price them higher.
