Is it only chance to hit, or does it affect damage inflicted aswell? Is the defence listed somewhere, or is it just peoples experience (and stating thte obvious) that makes you able to tell that a blue dragon has less def than a black dragon? |

I've never sent a mail or anything but cheat-reports to Jagex, but I know what you're talking about. That's why I'd like to not send one, it'll be a waste of time only.. |

Defense makes it harder for you to get hit. On the flipside, a higher lvled monster will most likely have higher defense, making THEM harder for YOU to hit..I don't know how Jagex's npc lvls work out. i suggest writing to them, they might be able to help you on that one. ![]() |

I actually know for a fact it does both, i can hit higher on a weaker monster than say the kalphite queen, and if im melleing dragons i dont hit often... |

I think the defense of monsters increases by the type of fighting you are using, the level, and so on. I'm sure Jagex wouldn't auto answer you on this question -.- |

According to jagex, players dont 'miss' their target, so It would have to be no.2 - reduce the amount of damage done. And there isnt a list |
