Post subject:  Magic Training Help [ GOAL COMPLETED !! ]
EDIT: Now 56 magic, and I have completed Family Crest !!

I am currently 36 magic, but need lvl 59 magic for Family Crest Quest so I can start legends.

I have a fire staff, ~600 air runes, ~300 mind runes, ~900 essence (lvl 21 runecrafting), and about no chaos runes.

I also am very poor, and hardly have any spending money.

You can see my stats in my sig.

Can someone please recommed ways to train, or ways I can make money and buy chaos runes?

well, you need to get 55 magic. so you ARE going to put a little cash into it.
once your 55 magic, magic xp is free to 99 ;)

well, you dont necessarily need to train with fire bolt, but then its faster exp and you'll level up faster. i personally trained to 39-55 magic on blue drags/black demons ..with fire strike... id make those ess and make more minds.. then you'll atleast gain a few lvls using fire strike.

Here is my training now :

from lvl 37 -> 47 use crumble undead
from lvl 47 -> 52 use Teleport camalot
from lvl 52 -> 60 gonna use teleports and crumble undeadµ

Heres what I think I'll try:

36-42 Magic, Fire Strike
42-55 Magic, Crumble Undead [~330K in Chaos Runes]
55-59? Magic, Hi Alch

Hmm.. can I do this quest with some Mind Bombs?

crumble undead all the way 4 me, gives same xp as wind wave!!!

and the attack rate is a bout the same and is half the prcie of hi-alch.

i make nats and trade for chaos 1:2+

my most recent trade 650 nats:1650 chaos, well over double the xp in this trade for the same price!

yup, thats exactly wat i do aswell. make like 500 nats, sell 4 200k.
then, by like 1.3k chaos and 2.6k earths and cast crumble undead in varok sewers at the zombies ova the river. 600 of em got me from 51 to 54 mage! btw xolor if u eva want sum cash then add me in game and come nature runnin with me, u make like 10k in bout 3-5mins!!!!!! :roll:

When i train my magic i always use the curse spell. Just wear full rune and an earth staff. The spell will fail all the time this way and the runes you need for this spell aren't that expensive and easy to get.

This way of training worked for me, maybe it will work for ouy 2.

yeah not a bad idea cyronic, using a couple of curse per enemy, bodys are nearly free, waters are cheap and then use earth staff.

29xp/spell for like 30-35gp per spell aint bad

And thanks, I'll check the calcs, check the exp... see if it'll work for me :)

EDIT: Meh it doesn't fail, even with full rune... so I can only curse the NPC 1 time :?

EDIT again: actually, it only fails against Guards 1/2 the time... But I tried this caged monk of Zamorak in varrock castle, and it never hits him... (Which is good lol)

btw xolor only 56 mage needed for crest quest, i did at that lvl using mind bomb and it wasnt any fuss.
but u prbly want to get ur mage up anyways....

I used the spell on the zombies in varrock sewers. if you want to let it fail over and over again wair a pair of vambraces instead of gloves if you attack with magic is on -65 it will always fail.

Try it again hope it works now.

What I have now is like -54 magic... I mean - I want to look cool while doing it dont I !!

Lol... still, it gives me like 98% failing, and when it works, I just run up & down the stairs once, then I can do it again :)
