Sand Castle? Heck no! How about a life size (8 foot long) sand sculpture of a RuneScape knight in shining armour? If I can't play RuneScape then I'll play in the sand RS style :D

Did you use special sand or what?

Not really. The sand here is along the shores of Lake Huron. The beach is treated with a machine to prevent the beach from overgrowing with weeds and therefore I think they mix a bit of the organic soil and clay into the sand. It packs really hard, stays wet for a long time, and is therefore easy to sculpt. It took me a good 5 days to complete working about 2-3 hours a day on it. What's really cool is that lots of people do some pretty amazing sculptures here and everyone respects the works of art, generally leaving them alone for others to enjoy. Sometimes you get the really little kid messing around a bit with them, but overall people really like when the beach fills up with sand art. It's very therapeutic and relaxing.

That sounds awesome. Great sculpture, too. You are quite the talented artist. I'd like to see some pictures of those other sand sculptures. Seems like a really neat place.

Ya. The squire probably just tacked the shield in place of the left arm not being there and said "to heck with it." xD I didn't even notice that until you just brought it up.

Ya, it's kinda tucked behind the shield... i tried defining the left arm but the shield just kept collapsing. Not an easy media to work with, that's for sure. :)
