Post subject:  Going to make a pure...
Well I am considering making a pure account for the sole purpose of dueling and possibly PK'ing. I know nothing about pures, can somebody tell me some good stats to work for?

I've made tons of pures in my rs times.. this is what i know:

ALWAYS LEAVE DEFENSE AT 1--- this is a must.... unless you mess up.. but anything under 10 def is considered a good pure. 1 def pure would own a 10 def pure on same combat.

If you're making a pure warrior, get as much range and mage as you can without leveling, here's the combat calculator

If you're making a pure mage or ranger, get mage same as range because it wont get you any combats at all.

True facts-- the higher your magic, the more resistant to magic attacks you are.

people that has melee and range powers have an advantage towards people using prayer.

Thanks for the advice. But really, defense at 1? I thought it would be better to have a steel or black pure, but then again I know nothing about pures.

So what do you think would be a goal in stats for a melee pure before I stop training? And do you think it's worth making a pure for use just in the F2P wild? Or would it have to be a P2P dueler to be worth it?

Pure Ranger: 1 def, Lots and LOTS of range. No pray pl0x. Wear vambs and chaps when you can. (not body it needs 40 def).

Mager: Not so good in this area.

Warrior: Time for the hybrid! 1 def, 40 atk, 40+ str. (f2p atleast maybe 60 if p2p). Good range and mage. Ex: 60 mage and range for a lvl 40 or so.



Hmm..for f2p pking its decent. I mean snagging full rune is 200k and it can be done within 10 minutes of pking. Its very profitable at times if you have an uber pure.

70 atk 50 str, 70 defense is a good pure



They own trust me.... 70 atk 70 str are not good pures


If you wanna pk.. then it's a whole different story... It's either a pker or a dueler

cuz if it's a pker, u need prayer and magic/ range, magic prefered..

hm my Black pure has reeled in kills quite easily (although yes you will have trouble with teams at certain points) and you can still take out mages if you remove the armour and keep your eyes open for food/retreating if need be.

Stats are 10 def, 40 attack and from then on strength all the way. Note that this is simply for f2p pking/dueling and yes it's debatable whenever the stats can be improved or not but I think the kills to death ratio for mine speaks for itself 100/3 (all three times were either by ambushes usually by several mages or because I wasn't really being alert to the wildy - BIG MISTAKE)

That is though my preference and IMO it's all down to user's style of play, I'd suggest experimenting with a few builds and see what works for you, it shouldn't take long leveling-wise anyway.

Wagen, You really scare me. 50% of that fear is of your grammer, the other half is of you. And magic, its not important ;)

Anyway dan, if your going to be makiing a pure make sure you add me so we can talk and train together ;) And another thing. Before you actually make the account, get all your supplys ready. Like when I started I v3nd3tta I there was literrally nothing ready, I got him off tutorial island and was like 'aw i need a weapon', then had to get amor, then food, all of this was a long process. On i0 thomas ol, i had a pre-alloted amount of cash, 500 lobsters, 200 trout, 3k steel arrows, 10 green dhide sets 10 maple bows, 500 laws, etc. Just be sure you do that and you have all your stuff ready and you should be fine. Secondly. Training, on f2p iron pures are a b*tch to train. I would recommend training range and mage on f2p and then go p2p for the melee training, it will simplify your life so much more. RANGE: I would go for barbarians till lvl 25, from barbarians go to Edgy gaurds and range behind the fence all the way till lvl 35. At level 35 head up to the moss giants in the wild and range them behind the rocks. For mage: on ol thomas ol I cursed chickens (no hp xp :lol: ) all the way up to 35 mage I believe, So basically I was 10 hp 35 mage and like 15 combat, which p00ned. Once you go pking you will get some hp levels and just let the hp levels go from there. If your not interested in cursing, try teleporting or maybe if you have enough, jewrly enchanting? Another thing to do is just normal fire blast/striking (borrring).



Ok, with all that being said that should be enough to get your new pure going ;)

Also, do you think it would be worth getting prayer? By the time you get 43 prayer that would have raised 5 combat levels I believe...

NO PRAYER!!!!! Prayer gives combat levels......My friend and i have the same statistics but he's 5 levels higher than me! (i'm 40 att 1 def 66 str on iron pure)

Just go for 40 att (60 if you are a member)

1 defence (5 if you're a member (castle wars armour))

60+ str.........

To train a pure, get 40 attack and 30 str FIRST...Then....Buy like 4000 lobs and do nothing but pk.........pking is like killing really really really big/easy monsters (in a good fight you can deal like 200 hp before running out of food-thats 800 xp).....Uber sweetness. Plus, when you start getting kills....oh boy. Before 60 str....stay away from mages,
By combat 36 is when you start getting rune kills....and by combat 45 is when you get adamant/runite armor kills.. Well, i hope that helps you out.....If you are alone going to castle, never take the east way....always go west around the coal mining area (not multiple combat area) just so you dont get teamed. he may be rich.. but i still disagree with the fact that he says mage isnt important.... i find it so easy to kill mages now days because my magic is high enough for them to splash all over me... and because they're wearing robes making them too easy to hit....

and in training attack, if you want a combat 60-80 pure.. then i advice you to get attack or full rune people will annoy the hell out of you :shock: .

and training range and melee helps you fight people that use prayer... it's fast to switch back and forth.
