Looks pretty cool. Personally, I liked the old bills, especially the older $10 note with the detailed picture of the U.S. treasury. ![]() That's a very old note, but similar design and has the picture I'm talking about. The old notes were pretty cool, but the new ones aren't that bad either. Glad they decided it wasn't worth it to redesign the $1 note. They have done a great job with the new ones. Hope to check this one out this year sometime. Love to hold one in my hand. d=(^_^)z Edit: Nevermind. Doesn't go into circulation until February 2011. ![]() |

I never seen US money before. Seeing it, I do not like them! Although the only money I have seen is Canadian$, Euros, and Switzerland Francs so not much to really compare it to |

So in other words they're going to cost almost as much to produce as they're worth? ![]() ![]() |

Yahh that one looks to flashy to me...If they just would of did what they did to the 20s and just added a multicolor bill I think it woulda been fine. There was also talk about replacing the president on the 50 was there not? Instead of Grant, there was talk about putting Reagan on it. Honestly that would just mess everything up because EVERY $50 before that would become like...obsolete? Idk |

Wow that is really cool. I wonder how long intil someone counterfits it. What I think is funny is that it showed the watermark Washington. I remember when that first came out, back in like 2000 I think, and it was a HUGE deal to have that watermark on it. |

It always makes me wonder exactly why they show the security details on it - just makes it easier for others to try to circumvent. |

Still the coolest note, in my opinion. Spoiler for Two Dollar Note:
Just love the two dollar bill and it's design. I also really like dollar coins. Wish we circulated and used more of those. Though the new $100 bill is very cool looking and should stop any counterfeiting, I hope they don't change it any more than they have to. |

I never understood why they keep coming out with these fancier bills. Someone can still just counterfeit the old simplistic bills because they haven't been invalidated by the Federal Reserve. I guess that is as long as they can find a store willing to accept them. |

Well usually the higher the bill in amount, the more work goes into preventing counterfeits and the more the bill is questioned in circulation. A cashier will look more closely at a $100 bill than a $20 or $50 bill. Eventually, most the old notes should be phased out. Until then, the design they put into the older bills have to hold over and just have to be kept under scrutiny. I figure we've been doing pretty good stopping counterfeits for the most part. As long as people are aware, it should be as big a problem while they introduce the newer notes. |

Yah so...they are making a new $100 bill. What about the bills higher than 100? $500, $1000, $5000, $10000, and the $100000 Certificate ![]() http://www.thetreeofliberty.com/vb/showthread.php?t=48367 Yes these are REAL |
