Quote: Well it depends on your demographic, most popular in Japan, America, etc etc. And also there is no one definite "most popular manga ever" But some that are vastly popular all over the place are Naurto, Bleach, Death Note, One Piece, Prince of Tennis, Fruit Baskets, and Fullmetal Alchemist. That's just to name a few. Ono's addition: I assume that by popular you mean most sales(which is a pretty easy way to tell popularity)? Then it's One Piece third, Dragonball second and Kochikame. Kochikame is pretty much exclusive to Japan so worldwide it's not popular at all. RECENT ADDITION: ONE PIECE IS THE HIGHEST SELLING MANGA EVER!!! I think that Zig Zag is also pretty popular within girls in Singapore and not forgetting the Fairytail which is highly popualar too. Even though, I agreed that Naruto, One Piece and Fruit Baskets is alos popular within boys too, even girls would enjoyed Naruto too. This is from wiki answers, do not read manga personally but i looked it up and hope this answers your question. |

There's a lot of truth to what italy quoted. It does depend on what you like more when it comes to manga. I don't read it at all, but I have in the past a couple times and watch the shows even more often. I personally like shows with action and fighting. That can easily translate over into the book as well, too. For me, I personally like Full Metal Alchemist, Ghost in the Shell, Deathnote, Bleach, Naruto, any Gundam (but there are better ones than others), etc. I could go on a bit longer, but I'll stop at that. Again, it really depends on what interests you. Those mangas have quite a bit of action, but some are also more serious and dramatic than others. Any of the ones I listed are pretty good imo, but in the end, it's all up to you. And don't forget, manga books are started from the back in English. Make sure you pick up on that. ![]() Edit: Here's a site where they post free manga reading material for almost all titles. And they keep it pretty up to date, too. Cheers. http://www.onemanga.com/ |

Hmm. All I can suggest is that if you liked Death Note, check out The Liar Game. |

I don't know your intrests but I'll explain what I recommend. Fairy Tail: fuuny, good plot, about guild of mages, hard to describe but in general very good. Bleach: Very funny, extremly in depth story, intresting, serious, but the plot is way to hard to describe. Look it up. ![]() Full Metal Alchemist: Again, too hard to describe. But its worth checking out. |
