| Post subject: | Lagging weird on runescape... |
Hi, so I've been having weird lag off and on since i started trying to play again a few months ago. Last time it did this i was able to fix it by reinstalling my wireless adapter for my desktop but it has come back. So what its doing really is just popping up disconnected about a few seconds after i log in everytime or sometimes it will make it longer before it does but eventually it will log me out and so i've basically got no access to the game. However using the internet for everything else works fine? Any help would be great, thanks. |

do a speed test and a ping test on and off the wireless |

Check the positioning of your adapter or router? Try to get the best possible signal. Having a good signal goes a long way. |

My download speed is 1.32 mbps and my upload is 0.36 mbps and ping is 77 ms but that's while i'm off runescape it seems when i log in my connection will just die is the problem. |

1.3 mbps download is probably your problem. |

the ping is pretty high who so a ping that high with a random connection lost could make you DC |

Your connection is fine. Even playing on dial-up didn't have issues. That ping is fine. On a RPG such as RuneScape, even 500ms won't be terrible. Best guess is that you're wireless adapter is too far away / obstructed by something so that it loses connection to the router every so often. |

dont know about the ping thing my freind has a download of 5m upload of 0.5 but his ping is 90 and it lags |
