When I have my computer, whether or not I'm listening to music, my speakers make this odd popping noise. Does anyone know why this could be? |

Yup, is your cell phone near your computer? |

Then that is the reason haha. When your phone gets a signal, it interferes with the speakers. |

If moving your phone works, the great- you've solved your problem. But similarly, lots of other things can have the same effect- modems/routers, cordless phones and even other speakers. Basically anything electronic can interfere. As a side note I'd also add that sometimes the source of interference can be inside the computer itself- hard drives especially can sometimes cause problems with sound cards. Similarly, damaged or just poor quality speaks cables can equally mess up your sound quality like this. |

Hmm well considering the desk where my PC is, is a hive of electronic stuff then thats probably the case. It has to be noted that it seems to occur more when I put my phone on top of my computer tower to charge it up, which would point toward it being a mobile phone problem. Thanks guys ![]() |
