Post subject:  Facebook Video Recording

98% of the time when i go to record a video on someone's wall here's what happens.

1. I'm on their wall and i click the video tab.
2. nothing shows up.

I tried Refreshing the page.
I tried running firefox as administrator.

When I go to do the same thing, Flash warns me about allowing Facebook to use the camera/mic on the computer. If you don't have flash installed, or if it's blocked on Facebook, that might be why it's not working.

yeah i think that's my problem, the flash thing asking me to allow wont come up anymore.
i tried updating my flash player, but no luck. any other ideas?

Try going to YouTube or another flash video site (or any site that uses flash to display things - even an ad here on B&B), right click on the video/ad and go to settings. See if you can check blocked sites, or allowed sites; something of that nature.

i went on flash player and enabled facebook for always.
and then it gives the option to always deny everything or always ask, and i hit always ask.
and it still wont work.
i usually use firefox, but i tried IE as well and still no luck.

Try to test the webcam at the aptly named http://www.testmycam.com/ to see if it's a universal problem, or facebook specific.

yeah it works.
i use it for skype and stickam. it's not that my cam won't detect, it's that the box to record wont show up at all. when i click the tab, i don't get an allow pop up, it's just blank.
