Well, my mouse took a swim in soda today. It was a wireless USB one, so the USB part is fine. Now, a year and a half ago, I had the same exact mouse. This is the situation:

I have a mouse that is broken with a fine USB plug. And a Fine mouse with a broken USB.

Can I take the usb from one mouse and use the other mouse as one? It would be cool if I could. 8)

If both your receiver and mouse has a "scan" or "connect" button press both of them at the same time. It worked for me when swapping wireless mice on my old computer.

I think he has wired mice, not sure though :?

You could probably sauter them together somehow if you know what you're doing.
Sorry if it's a wireless one

No its a wireless logitech V450. I have 2 of them.

Mouse 1: The mouse is fine, the USB plug is broken.
Mouse 2: The mouse is broken, the USB plug is fine.

Just trying to combine the good parts to make a mouse that works fine.

No they will not work. You need a 550 model or better that comes with a unifying receiver in order to use multiple mice with one receiver.

If it's wired, you can just cut the cables in the middle and just make sure you do a good re-attachment job.

In theory it should, but the frequency of the two might be different. Not sure if you can change that, but if they are the same, it should work just fine.
