Ya not sure if this is allowed here, but I'm trying to dry clothes for school tomorrow and the dryer keeps coming open for some reason. I checked if there any coins in the hinges or something that would cause it to come open and there arent.

Any ideas to fix it?

Does this dryer door swing side ways or down? Either way you may want to try bracing the door shut with your hand, if that works try bracing a chair against it to keep it shut while you do other stuff you need to do. The cause is probably the pressure latch that holds the door shut not being tight enough, it may need to be replaced, you should probably call a repairman sometime in the next few days depending on how often you use your dryer.

yeah call a repairman if you can't hold it yourself...duct tape is a good temporary seal

yeah I used about half a roll to hold it closed

and since someone in my houses uses it atleast once per day it looks like we'll be getting an overpriced visitor soon :/

You could try re-bending the metal on the door latch, so it fits mroe snug

Ya I tried that but it didn't work too well.

According to the repairman though it's a 50cent part but will take a week to order #-o
