Whenever I start up Combat Arms, my screen flashes black, and I'm put back on my desktop.

I read the FAQ on the Combat Arms website, and it says that I 'most likely don't have a good enough graphics card to run Combat Arms'. I have a good enough graphics card to run World of Warcraft, so what the hell?

I've been trying to download Direct X, like it says I need to, but every time I try to install the file, it says "Intalizing..." for about 15 seconds, then a popup comes up, and says "Couldn't extract the file, try again later or check your internet connection". My connection's fine, so whats going on?

*sigh* Help would be greatly appreciated...

That's the download for DirectX 9c, the last version available for versions of Windows under Vista. I assume that's what you are using, but I dunno.

Are you blocking the download with any software, firewall? Try disabling them for a short period while the computer is downloading from Microsoft.

What kind of graphics card do you have? How many MB is the card?

Thanks Paul, but I found out my graphics card isn't as good as the game needs it to be. :| Thanks a lot for your help.
