Simple problem but im not sure how to fix it. Basically Im trying to use Limewire but it wont connect to the internet so I cant search for anything.

Anyone have Ideas on how to fix (id prefer to get this fixed fairly quickly too as Im on sort of a schedule.)

edit: if anyone knows a way to convert .M4P files to .MP3 that would be a good alternative.

http://www.utorrent.com/ + http://www.torrents.to/

I now consider LimeWire a complete waste of time after using the torrents. Micro torrent is the client/torrent downloader, so you need to download that before you can think of downloading anything. http://www.torrents.to/ is just a torrent search engine, put what you want in there and 99% of the time you'll get what you want out + a lot more. It's also, a lot faster. I pulled 250kbps on my Bon Jovi discography, managed to download it in about 2 hours. Which isn't bad for 1.5 gig.

If it wont connect then it;s your Firewall blocking the port it's using, or it is just simply blocking LimeWire. Go into your FW and make sure Limewireis added to the exceptions list, also look at Windows Firewall

Frostwire is great. Its Limewire, and Bittorrent all in one so you can search using Limewire, or get torrents and torrent files.

Ya I was a bit confused, I thought it did but I wasn't sure. I think I'm going to go with what bogroll recommended.

I use both Limewire and uTorrent, Limewire for single songs and uTorrent for albums and stuff. My limewire went like that, just reinstall it and it should work fine.
