Why must people all have animated avatars? they make my RS lag like nuts. Anyone else have this problem? |

Never heard of an animated GIF slowing down Runescape. But if you're having that much trouble, you might want to do some defragging or just close Rsbandb when you're playing the game. By the way, you need a new stat signature. The Summoning icon isn't even right on that one... ![]() |

Animated GIFs should not make RS lag.. XD There's probably some underlying problem, like something running on your computer in the background that you don't know about, in which case this would be more suited to the Troubleshooting forum. |

I'd assume you have a low bandwidth. If you have enough bandwidth, I'd think about at least trying to free up some RAM or add more, but that will most likely be a temporary fix. Run Firefox instead of Internet Explorer, or if you want to keep your RAM usage as small as possible, try using Google Chrome to make an application extension for www.RuneScape.com. Running just the one tab, I think I use around ~120MB with a full screen HD. I'd assume the underlying problem is hardware related, and not software, but that's just my opinion. |

Have you always had this problem or did it start recently? If you've had this problem alway or since rune scape HD then you probably need more RAM, If it just started recently then you probably have an infection slowing you down or your hard drive has reached a certain percentage used. Do you use rune scape HD or normal rune scape? |

Well then the simple cheap fix may be to close all other websites before playing runescape. Or you could just buy some more RAM. |

When I'm using fullscreen RS and these forums it's only ~60 MB on chrome o.O if it helps I'm using a direct shorcut to the world http://world116.runescape.com/p0,g1 You can switch 116 with any number you like (between 1 and 166) ![]() P.S WOOT! Another 99!! (Post count xD) |
