Ok so today I experienced a little issue with GarageBand. Ive experienced this before I just really need to find out whats wrong because its getting worse now. I have a Mac Mini with a following specs: (I normally use my gateway laptop for reg use like RS, games, BnB, etc.) 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 1GB memory 120GB hard drive ^^ i really dont think that has anything to do with the probelm but i thought id throw it out there anyway... Ok so lately when ive been recording on GB sometimes i hear cracking and popping in th background. I have a USB 8-Track mixer wired to the mac and i record by panning the track im recording to one side on the mixer and selecting the corresponding channel on GB. When i hear this crackling i know it is solely GB that is making it because i tried routing the output thru the mixer instead of the comp and i didnt hear it so i kno its GB. Also when its popping on GB it records like that too. I tried recording when it was popping and then played it back and it was still popping. The only solution I have is to completely close GB then open it back up and keep going. The reason why this is a big problem is because if im really close to finishing a song and then its starts crackling and popping i have to re-record the whole thing cuz the ending whill have crackling. ![]() I dont know if anyone is familiar with this sort of problem or neverhteless GB itself. I'm going to keep trying different methods to try and solve it but if anyone here knows anything plz let me know, it will be greatly appreciated. ![]() Thanks, Davo |
