I was wondering y my hypercam always laggs RS like crazy whenever i hit record. when its up and not recording everythings fine. its just when i hit record that it makes RS super lagg and it irratates me to no end! id really like to vid the xmas event this year but i dont kno if im gonna be able to. plz post thoughts and advice ASAP plz. it would be greatly appreciated. and also another thing where can i go on my comp where itll tell me how much ram i got. i use a gateway laptop and im pretty sure i added a stick of 512 to it so it has 1G total not sure but i still want to check. thanks in advance! |

It's not preventable. RuneScape and Hypercam both use large amounts of processor power. Hypercam is constantly writing to the hard drive, too, and so is RuneScape, which is also constantly streaming data from the web. The only thing you can do is try to find a screen recorder that doesn't use so much power. Generally, though, they all use a lot. RuneScape is rendering complex graphics with your CPU, and any screen recorder is having to encode a video on the fly. Two heavy processes. Basically, there's nothing you can really do. Save possibly getting a quad-core processor and a SCSI 10kRPM hard drive. |

This happens to me when i use fraps to record fullscreen games. I cant Record anything. However i can record runescape with Camtasia Studio Perfectly. See if it works for you: http://download.techsmith.com/camtasias ... mtasia.msi Size: ~35MB |

if you set the frame rate lower, it should at least reduce the lag, although at the same time the quality, no guarantees. -ret |
