So it's been like this for a few weeks now.
Everytime I turn on the computer everything runs fine as normal, but the monitor's screen is black, dead.
It shows the screen for like a second and goes black again, and again for everytime that I turn off the monitor and turn it on again.
I have to restart the computer multiple times and takes anywhere from 2 tries to 30+ to have a lucky start where the monitor runs fine as well.
Could this be just the monitor's problem or did something crash?
Also should I reformat my computer?

I'm not a computer type of guy, so any help is appreciated :)
Thanks

Thats an easy thing to test if you have another working computer with a monitor. Take your known working monitor and swap it with the monitor that you aren't sure of and start the computer, also do the same thing with the other monitor and other computer.

Does your computer have a graphics card or does it have integrated graphics? Your graphics card could be bad, but I think this is a problem with the monitor.

Does the monitor make any strange clicking or almost buzzing sounds after the initial power up?

No clicking or strange noises whatsoever, just stays black lol
I was thinking of buying a new computer set and switching monitors to see if it's the problem, and then I'll buy another monitor so I'd have 2 computers (One for my parents)

Thanks for helping :)

So you only have one computer? Do you have a friend that lives next door who's monitor you could borrow? Although its probably a good idea to have two computers, especially if you have siblings.
