Yeah..as of last week or so, I download Firefox 2. For the first few days, it was perfect. As time progressed, FF2 has been closing itself down RANDOMLY. This happens the most whenever I'm in-game. I keep thinking it's my Java that is the problem, or an in-depth computer error? I have the latest version of Firefox. I have the latest version of Java. I run virus scans WEEKLY. Could anybody help me debug/fix this problem? o.O Much appreciated. |

You run virus scans, thats good. Do you run spy-ware scans as well? The best place to ask would be the official firefox forums, if someone here can't give the help you need that is. |

I'm not actually sure but if you can't find the problem then just switch to Opera. I did that for a short term when I was having troubles with FF. I would do what Nubis suggests and run anti-spy-ware. |

Do you have any extensions installed? If so what ones? Also is it possible to get into the error console in Firefox? (Tools -> Error Console) Since you say when you're in game I'd try updating your Java. Finally check Firefox safe mode. Firefox installs a safe mode shortcut into the mozilla folder. This runs it in a stripped down mode and if the crashing still persists you probably need to wipe your preferences. |

No extensions installed. I've updated my Java many a time..From what my peers are telling me, it's probably a more in depth problem..With the addition of my brother installing 50GB of music on the computer..Yeah that probably might have made my problem worse.. Just got a network cable, gonna transfer the music to another comp, do a COMPLETE wipe and restore on my comp, and hopefully Problem = Solved? |
