for some reason toronto makes the playoffs in a season theyre not supposed to and I get the job I applied to in alberta, I move there, become an oilers fan, and because of me they aren't terrible for once. because of divine magic, toronto and edmonton meet in the Stanley cup finals. it goes to game 7. toronto management pull out all the stops to win and sign doug gilmour to a one day contract. In response edmonton signs gretzky to a one day contract. The game goes to overtime. Gretzky goes for the puck and high sticks gilmour, drawing blood. because kerry fraser loses all his money gambling this year, he returns to the nhl to make a comeback and is officiating the game. despite degrading eye sight, he has pulled through the entire year up to this moment. however, it now takes its toll: he does not see this high stick. play is stopped but gretzky remains in the the game. he gets the puck. takes a shot. it goes past toskala. it goes past raycroft (the leafs could not afford a goalie and opted to persuade toskala and raycroft to play by giving them a couple of boxes of poptarts each. through a loophole in a newly implemented rule, they are able to play both goalies at once in overtime periods if they play with only 4 skaters). the puck goes into the net. the oilers win the stanley cup, but not without a decades of controversy. |

Sabers win the Stanley Cup this year. That is all. |

Vancouver will miss the playoffs this year, but it's not the end of the world as the youth movement picks up in the off-season, making next year even better. Montreal is the Canadian team to beat in the East, Calgary moves up to make the playoffs and contends with the Jets for the best Canadian team in the West Edmonton and Toronto still miss the playoffs because their teams still suck Ottawa is a wild card once again Hmm, I'm never good with predicting the American teams, so I'll go with that for now. |

Edmonton miss. Flames get in. I suspect blues will flunk till they sack the coach then bounce back. Bruins are going to suck again this year and the capitals will win the cup. Jets unfortunately miss this year. They would be in if they wasn't in central. But Central will once again be a blood bath. Everybody has improved the jets have opted to go with prospects and they will make mistakes. It'll pay off in the end tho. Petan, Ehlers and Copp should make the team this year. Chariot and Lowry are in there second years and Trouba and scheifele are in there third years. All coming together. Give them another season or two. ;D Says a lot that Petan is probably starting on the 4th line. Lots of talent on the team compared to two years ago. Lots more coming too. Morrisey, lemieux and Lipon aren't far away. Just gotta resign dustin byfuglien! Pay the man he's worth it for entertainment alone. |

Let's see, I'll do a quick run down on what I think will happen: Anaheim Ducks: Make playoffs as a top 4 seed. Arizona Coyotes: Miss playoffs, head coach and GM fired, more questions about relocation Boston Bruins: Make playoffs, but barely Buffalo Sabres: Just short of playoffs, Eichel wins Calder Calgary Flames: Just make playoffs, have a strong run Carolina Hurricanes: Miss Chicago Blackhawks: Make playoffs, make it to finals. Win Presidents' Trophy. Colorado Avalanche: Make playoffs, but barely. Columbus Blue Jackets: Make playoffs Dallas Stars: If Jamie Benn stays healthy, they make it into playoffs. If not, they miss, but barely. Detroit Red Wings: Hard fought season, get in with the #8 seed. Edmonton Oilers: Barely miss playoffs, McDavid a runner up for Calder. Florida Panthers: Not even close to playoffs. Los Angeles Kings: More off ice issues, miss playoffs again. Minnesota Wild: Miss playoffs. Montreal Canadiens: Make playoffs, Subban and Pacioretty are the leading defenseman and offensemen. Nashville Predators: Barely make playoffs. New Jersey Devils: Miss playoffs. New York Islanders: Toss up, very dependent on getting started early. End up missing. New York Rangers: Make playoffs, runners up for Presidents' Trophy. Win Conference Finals. Win Cup. Philadelphia Flyers: Barely miss playoffs, much closer than last season thanks to a younger defensive core. Pittsburgh Penguins: Make playoffs, face Rangers in Conference Finals. Ottawa Senators: Make playoffs. San Jose Sharks Make playoffs. St Louis Blues: Make Playoffs. Tampa Bay Lightning: Make playoffs, make it to second round. Toronto Maple Leafs: Miss playoffs. Vancouver Canucks: Miss, but barely. Washington Capitals: Miss playoffs. Winnipeg Jets: Miss playoffs. Bottom line: Chicago wins Presidents Trophy, Rangers are runners up. Chicago wins Western Conference Finals against Anaheim. Rangers win Eastern Conference Finals against Penguins. Rangers win Stanley Cup in 7. Eichel wins Calder Trophy, McDavid is runner up. Bold? I think not. |

Speaking of the capitals... I love Trouba. Scheifele is pretty sexy too. Hellebyuck is quickly growing on me too...just a shame i can never remember how to spell his name. That's £35 won betting on that game. Time to ***** slap the hawks tonight if Hutchinson can pull his head out his *** and start playing properly again. Gotta break Kanes streak. |

So, most of my bold predictions have come true so far, but most of my predictions have fell flat. McDavid: I did not expect the broken collarbone (obviously). That being said, I also didn't expect the beast in Chicago that Artemi Panarin. Eichel hasn't been too noteworthy, so I am changing that prediction to Panarin winning the Calder, with McDavid running up. Playoffs: I'm not even going to bother relishing everything, so here's how I think the last 2 rounds will go. West: Chicago over Dallas East: Florida over Washington Finals: Chicago over Florida |
