Post subject:  Braces
After nearly 3 years. A few days ago I got my braces taken off. (for teeth, had to clarify)
Just wondering if anyone else here had braces.
Guess from a Runescape site the stereotypical nerd has both glasses and braces.
Am I right??

I never had them. My teeth aren't perfect, but they were not crooked enough to warrant an orthodontist visit.

Same here. Although I do have the stereotypical glasses 8) crummy vision runs in this family.

Yeah same here. I have an overbite though, so my teeth are pretty weird, but at least the top row look ok and that's usually what you see in photos :D

Congrats though! Now go eat some apple skin or something just because you can ;)

I had braces for almost 4 years, and more wicked devices in my mouth before that because I had a *severe* underbite, which the doctor said would require surgery at some point if I didn't fix it now. The day everything was completed was an amazing day, I'd never felt so relieved!

Never had to have them. My teeth have fortunately been very good. Except for a lot of cavities.

I never had a cavity.
But I got braces because I had a big overbite that was causing to much wear and tear on my jaw. Pretty much the same boat, correct my teeth and jaw now or risk losing all my teeth and surgery down the line.
(Which I did have to have 1 tooth removed before getting braces due to lack of space) Not counting wisdoms, had them removed years ago..)

I just got a retainer today that I have to wear 24/7 for the first month and then only at night for the next few years.

I had a tooth where the base poked out of the gum.

mostly my bunny teeth grew at an angel so it blocked the other 2 teeth from coming out naturally. i just floss between those more now.

and the tooth out of gum is fine now, my gums grew over it so it's all covered now.
