Post subject:  STAR TREKKIN INTO THE DARKNESS


Saw this last night. Best star trek film ever. Easily. Mostly cause of cumberbatch who just happens to raise the standard of everyone around him cause hes awesome. Even the stupid asian kid (he looks like hes 12 for god sake) was tolerable.

Go see it. Way better than iron man 3. Star wars is nice and safe in the hands of Mr abrams. Hopefully he makes a third trek film too though.

I always thought Khan was a klingon. Imagine my surprise. Anyway i wasn't going to say that and none of my videos had any spoilerz in them really but as you asked: Yes.

dUKE AGREES WITH ME. Try not to over hype it though.

Fast and furious 6 is really dumb too. In a good way. The seventh is going to be better though. Cause it's got a certain british actor in it.

I watched it, it was good. Unfortunately I don't know **** about star trek other than it's an old series, and had a whole bunch of movies/generations/remakes which confuse the hell out of me.

Why is it when I agree with people, it's a big deal? xD I still don't get why you didn't think Iron Man 3 was great. But then again, I like pretty much anything in terms of music, movies, and games. I don't take offense, I just like when people agree with me. :P

Anyway, I'm in the same boat, Estor. Just go read up on Khan through Wikipedia or the Star Trek wikia and you'll understand the movie a bit better.

in a nut shell, KHan was a powerful man back in the eugenics war where we created super humans through genetic engineering. Khan was one a very powerful one at that, he was sentenced to exile and into cryosleep forever until Kirk let him loose.

I loved iron man 1/2. So had high expectations for three. It started well. Him sending out that threat on tv was good. Then it went downhill what with him getting his *** kicked and having a kid dumped on him. I also don't like what they did with pepper

and how she saves the day. That was really **** stupid. BOO! BOO. Him blowing up all his suits sucked too. I also have no **** idea what the main villians plan was. Like i don't get it. Seemed like a **** complex over thought evil plan with no pay off. Stupid. Whats stark going to do for the next avengers film? Hes blown his suits up. Also the british terrorist guy was a better main villain than the actual villain.

I thought those were good touches. I think it's good when heroes get their asses handed to them, otherwise what's so great about them? If they don't have trials sometimes or even face certain defeat, that makes them boring. I thought the kid was good because it showed for once, tony had to depend on someone else...a kid of all people...rather than his own intelligence or his money.

As for Pepper, I really thought she was going to grab him a suit so he could hop in it and do his thing. xD But no, she just uses the suit and beats the guy herself, which I agree was a little stupid and cheesy. I can see why they did it for just general movie goers, but in terms of serious watchers such as yourself, Creepy, I could understand your complaint over it.

As to the villain guy, he was kind of like a Joker character. He doesn't have an evil plan other than to just cause chaos and destruction. He figures he doesn't really need the credit, that he can just cause evil behind the scenes and never get caught thereby enabling him to keep doing it as long and as much as he wants to. That's what I got out of it anyway.

My impression of the ending was that Tony was just going to start from scratch and build better suits that weren't made of tin foil as you put it. xD I think the idea was that he wanted to just start afresh. That doesn't mean he stops being Iron Man, just that he needs time to rebuild. That or he'll just play more of a support role in the next film, but I don't think that's likely.

The British actor guy wasn't really a villain though. xD he was just acting as one. He was the face the main villain wanted to claim his actions. I agree he was better only in the fact he acted like an evil guy. But really, he was just an actor, a face.
