The Book Club Looking for a good book? Just read one? Here's the place for you! A thread dedicated to book recommendations. Rules: #1: NO SPOILERS! You're hear to get people to read a book you liked, don't ruin it for them! #2: Try and keep the discussion on books ![]() #3: Read a **** book! Just finished this here book: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/107478.Silent_Witness One of the books where its 3 in the morning, and you don't want to sleep, just find out what happens next. The author is a master of toying with emotions. Playing with your own, and doing one of the best jobs of conveying what the character is feeling, not just thinking. |

I'm currently reading a book called "The Penultimate Truth" by Philip K. ****. It's very Fallout-esque, so it probably ended up influencing the people who created the Fallout games. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/41064.The_Penultimate_Truth |

I just finished 2 books a few days ago and would reccomend them to anyone who wants a look into life in North Korea. The First- "Escape From Camp 14" It was a bit short which is why i almost didn't buy it at only 205 pages but i'm glad i did. I read the entire book in one afternoon while camping. It's such a gripping story about what 1 man did to escape a prison camp in North Korea. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/11797365-escape-from-camp-14 The Second- "Escape From North Korea" This was truly a great book that i read right after finishing the other book i had. It's the story of the trials and tribulations one will face escaping North Korea and gives insight to why one would want to escape the DPKR. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1358 ... ape-from-north-korea This is a great thread, i'm an avid read who tries to read a book a week when i can. Currently reading- Anglo-American Establishment Kind of a historical recount of the New World Order if you're into that kind of thing. ![]() http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/9916 ... erican_Establishment |

Just read the Anubis Gates by Tim Powers. Mixture of magic and Egyptian myth set around time travel gates with most of the novel based in the early 19th century. Interesting read I couldnt put down once i got started on it. Before that it was a couple of novels from the Jack Reacher series. I wanted to see how well they linked to the Tome Cruise film. |
