For the third year in a row, the East Coast of the US will be threatened by a hurricane. In 2010 there was Earl, which didn't make landfall but came close enough to do some damage. Then last year we had Irene which wasn't as bad as it was forecast to be, but nonetheless got its name retired. And this year we have Hurricane Sandy, which is supposed to be worse than Irene was. This is storm is supposed to be MASSIVE and is gonna affect almost the entire Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, as far west as Ohio possibly. Tropical storm wind speeds could extend as far out as 500 miles! This is nothing to take lightly. Perhaps it's being over-hyped like Irene was but it's better to be safe than sorry. You have tomorrow and Sunday to prepare for this storm if you live in the danger area. Oh yeah, and unlike previous storms, this one's actually gonna go from east to west, so a direct landfall somewhere on the coast, with New Jersey being right in the middle of the cone... guess what else is in the middle... my house. You probably won't hear from me for a while after Sunday since power might be out for over a week, and if I'm not back by then, well I probably died then, but that shouldn't happen unless I go out in the middle of the hurricane. :P Also, the forecast is over a foot of rain in my area... wow. And that's not all, in Pennsylvania it's gonna be colder which means snow, and they could get as much as 30 inches, making last year's storm seem like a dusting. No school Monday and Tuesday is probably the only good thing from this. And then Halloween could be cancelled for the 2nd year in a row, just great. :( So once again, be prepared if you're in the path, I already went out to get supplies, and boy was it packed, people were fighting over stuff. If you haven't stocked up yet, do it soon because supplies are in high demand and are running out fast. Stay safe everyone.

The worst that's going to happen here is some rain and winds 40-60 mph, the worst being tomorrow night.
Your much closer.. so good luck.
Collage here are closed for Monday and Tuesday as well, things get to hyped up here, since we never have anything news worthy..
Just like with Irene, media up played it and we settle with mild wind that you'd find the average fall day.

Bummer..
This kind of stuff excites me but never crawls up all the way the North East.

Stay safe.

51 deaths confirmed in the US. Over 25 billion dollars of damage. Millions without power. Entire Jersey Shore has been washed away. NYC flooded. I just got my power back after 2 days and all I can say is that this was the worst storm to ever hit us, definitely an unprecedented event. Nothing like this has ever happened before on the East Coast. Hope everyone is safe whoever was impacted by the storm.

Got pounded pretty bad here too in Pa. Somehow, thankfully was able to keep our electricity, but we haven't had cable since Sunday. So i'm hoping for that back soon :D

No, unfortunately Snooki is still there lol and so is her house, I hate her and the entire Jersey Shore cast, giving my state a bad rep.

I hope they can rebuild Seaside Heights though, I was planning on going there next summer... so much for that
