What is your stance on Tattoo's?

Since I got my first tattoo about 2 hours ago, decided to post here, debated where I wanted to post it in Media as = my first tattoo
or turn it into a discussion. To see how many of you also have tattoo's, if you want to get one, or morally hate them.

I'll add the pictures of mine in case anyone cared.

I love my tattoo. It is of a Navajo bear. I plan on getting a few more.

Sorry, but I have to ask. Why the hell did you get that.

i like the way they look im just cautious of what they will look like 30 years down the line, especially like the color. And plus i'm not big into the idea of intentionally putting something permanent on my body.

Because I'm a dork!
And figured all my friend would find it hilarious and they did.

I can always look at Fluttershy on my arm and smile.

it may look like a beautiful butterfly now. but in 50 years, it would be a horrible winged beast.

Well, I don't plan on getting any myself. Here's how I view it: if you want one, why not. It's your skin, your canvas. It is permanent though and 1) after a long time, your skin will get old and sag and that won't look good, 2) employer's might not hire you or give you a chance if it's in a visible place (unless you plan on wearing long sleeves all the time) and 3) it's permanent. Once put on, they are hard to remove, and even if you do remove it there will be a trace that it was there. All that said, don't really care myself and there are a lot of cool tattoos out there. Whatever floats your boat in the end...

Your body is a canvas for you to tell your story, personally i want a Japanese coy transforming into a dragon on my back. You would have to have an understanding of the culture in Japan but that represents a transformation in life.

I like tattoos and I'll most likely never have one. I like them on other people. The tattoos I've recently have became fond of are the white ink tattoos on light skinned people. I like that the tattoo can barely be seen. If I were to ever get a tattoo, it would most likely be done in white ink.

I view them as art, whereas some people view them as offensive. As others have said, your body, your lifestyle, your prerogative.

Sure it's art, and if it fades over the years, get touchups.
A buddy just got a neck tattoo, which they can either be really trashy or sweet (rarely any middle ground). To bad he got the monster drink logo.
Would like a neckie but might be hard in finding a job, like it's not hard enough already.

My next tat when I get the extra cash, will be 1 on each forearm, to showcase my psychotic like split personality that I tend to have.
Left arm.. my light side, right arm my dark side.

Any Lied fans here?

Something like this

I'm mostly with Zac on this one. Tattoos are (sometimes) very nice looking, but I don't think they'd suit me. And I don't know, it appears more and more people are getting them to the point it became overrated. I remember back then, you had to be almost crazy to have a tattoo, but now, everybody has one. And they're not epic at all. WOOTZ LOOK I HAVE A TRIBAL SIGN AND A JAPANESE SYMBOL THAT MEANS STRENGTH, COURAGE AND POWER, HOW UNIQUE AND ORIGINAL IS THAT?

Yeah, Congratulations, no one cares.

Nah. Tatoos are just permanent grafitti on your body. Think of when you are old and gray. It will not be very dignified looking to see this big green/black wrinkly blotchy mess on your skin. In fact on an older person it looks absolutely ridiculous. That's just my personal opinion.
