On episode 352 of the podcast (viewtopic.php?f=50&t=82934) I re-picked a certain website. That website is http://www.politicalcompass.org. It essentially offers you a questionnaire about your beliefs. I thought this would be interesting to discuss again since it is an election year in the US.

Take the test at http://www.politicalcompass.org/test. Here's my result:

I knew I was somewhere on the left, and I don't like to be controlling. Authoritarianism is too tedious. Better to sit back and play video games and let the people do whatever.

I knew I would fall in the middle. Being a moderate Republican, I have socially liberal , but I am economically conservative. Also, I believe in state power, hence the libertarian. I am a little bit of everything.

I took this once, was almost exactly in the middle of the axes.

Oh I remember this thread from long ago.

Here is what I got:

Economic Left/Right: -0.75
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.97

I think last time I took it a year or so ago I was about the same position but barely on the right side of the economic scale.

Ah this again. I swear I always end up in about the same place. Close to dead center. But I swear I'm a conservative.

I didn't copy the picture last time, but here is what I said...Link

I am a little right and up, but very close to middle. But I'm always wary of tests like this. Not sure if they are perfect. I consider myself more right, but like I said, I am very close to the middle. Maybe I just don't know it yet. :P

Guess Mike, Ranging, and I might all get along fine. Probably depends on the issues, though.

Pretty Far Right, didn't surprise me really. I expected to be a little more libertarian but I guess not.
