What will I become after watching fox news straight for 2 weeks? I am doing an experiment soon. I will be watching ONLY fox news and NO OTHER MEDIA OUTLET for the next 2 weeks. I will not watch ANY OTHER TV program. I will watch fox news re-runs on tv and on youtube. The goal is to then engage in conversation with my friends afterwards and see what they say. _______________________________________ keyword research ~ keyword tool ~ keyword tracking ~ affiliate elite |

I use Fox News, and I know I am one of the very few on RSBandB that does so. All new media sources will be biased. Some people say Fox News is more biased than other, but I disagree. The funny thing is, there was some study done that people who watch Fox News know less about the news than people who don't. I found this hard to believe. I watch almost all Fox News and I know more about what is going on around the world then most people I know, and more other news. Have fun with your experiment. Also, I don't want people telling me that I am stupid for watching Fox News. I get it all the time. The **** I do not give. <3 |

The most common issue I find is that people mistake the Fox opinion shows (Glen Beck, O'reilly, etc.) for real newcasting. I think Fox is fine as a news source as long as this difference is taken into account. I already get enough American news so we don't subscribe to Fox here. |

I watch Fox as well. As Shane mentioned, it's the opinion segments that usually get people's goat. They are newscasts which are used as soap boxes for conservative commentary. Granted, I still think there is bias even in just straight up news segments. Fox will give the news in a more conservative favoring fashion while other outlets will do it in a more liberal favoring fashion. Regardless, I think all the major news outlets are fine for news. As long as you understand the viewpoint they are addressing/favoring/relating and can view it objectively, then you should be good. Just understand that the bias is there. Just because you watch a news show doesn't mean you yourself become biased or side with that news station. All it means is that the way you receive the news is inclined to make you think a specific way. You can't say watching Fox makes you a more of a conservative. Much more has to take place to change your political views. |

I find Glenn Beck to be more of a comedy show than a news show, honestly. |

Yes, Fox News has a conservative bias that's why i watch it. but compared to something like MSNBC, Fox is pretty fair and balanced. Oreilly and Hannity and all of them destroy the ratings for a reason, they aren't so far left like CNN and MSNBC it pushes viewers away. Yes I too am called stupid for watching Fox News, but one things for sure I definitely know more about politics and world events then every single one of my friends. P.S. Shane, Glenn Beck left Fox News, he now runs his own program. |
