They expect that 28 parts won't fully burn up in the atmosphere. There's a 1:3200 chance someone will get hit by one of those 28 pieces. The military will roughly "know" where it will crash. Two hours before re-entry they can "pinpoint" it to a 6000 mile radius.

So you better look up the entire day this friday.
