I'm sure everyone here is quite familiar with bookmarks and how they work. But if not, bookmarking is essentially a way of keeping track of sites through a browser rather than by some other means. You don't have to write down a url or copy paste. Just drap and drop a page into the bookmark tab and you can easily find it again if need be. Do you guys bookmark a lot of pages? Do you like the idea of bookmarking through a browser? After all, is it something you really want to remember that bad? Just wondering what you guys think. |

I use a browser called Rockmelt. It allows integrates facebook in to the browser itself, and allows me to chat through the browser at all times, keep a pop-up news feed for facebook, twitter, gmail, and any other RSS supported feed right through a toolbar on the side of my browser. As for the sites that don't work with it, when I open a new tab (since Rockmelt was created using Chromium) I have 6 "Most visited pages" that I can easily get to if I don't have a feed for them. |

I have my bookmarks in my sidebar which I leave open all the time on the right side, because I have a widescreen and web pages are more vertical then they are horizontal. |

I use bookmarks for accessing sites that I access frequently. RSBandB, admin tools, and a little reminder list ![]() As for actual archiving and storage of pages I want to remember, Pinboard. https://pinboard.in/u:shane1 |

I use toolbar and a hidden secret bookmarking .zip folder with a password. I started using them because I always had to clear my Internet history in case someone figures where I was or what I downloaded, so I keep no history and Bookmark what I want to keep. For the toolbar I have my 3 favorites: RSBANDB, Youtube and a ComicBook website. For the secret folder with bookmarks, I think I don't have to explain what it has. ![]() |

Lol why? I never mentionned what was in that folder. It could be some kids websites with Pokemons episodes that could be potentially embarassing if they were discovered, something like this. Or I could be just a weird paranoid psychotic that keeps too much privacy lol. ![]() The main reason I Bookmark is because I don't keep history. I dislike having sites I have visited being shown when I type something in the URL bar. It just drives me nuts because I feel like it's unwillingly reveals privacy.. |
