How cool is this?!?!?! http://www.engadget.com/2010/08/19/leon ... all-aspects-of-life/ I honestly don't think that this would affect people's lives that much. If, while implementing this, the developers decided to state what would be ideal for citizens to behave, and how wide on the spectrum safe and secure behavior would be, it would be no problem living here. And besides, it's all bad for the criminals, but the goodie-two-shoes get to opt-in! I believe it's something good, and the world should move in this direction. Good on you, Leon! |

Not cool at all. It's a huge invasion of privacy. |

Excellent idea. Why should you be worried if you have nothing to hide? I would gladly allow my movements, internet transmissions, and phone calls to be monitored in the name of greater security. Privacy is overrated. You can be seen in public. You're seen on security cameras. Orbiting satellites have high enough resolution to make out facial features if wanted. |

No, no, no. This is how it begins. The system will get set up by well meaning people and organizations, and then some drug lord or other dictator-style leadership will take over and use this system to track anyone who opposes their rule. Bad, bad idea. Shane, how many rights are you willing to sacrifice in the name of 'greater security'? Read the book Nineteen Eighty-Four. |

It's a good idea in theory, but unnecessary as well as having the potential to backfire as Ryan was saying, but in many ways. Sure, you might be able to track people almost everywhere you go, but I figure it would be cheaper to just put chips in people and track them that way and store any pertinent information on them there?. Privacy, though you might not value it Shane (or anyone else that thinks the same), is still valuable to many, if not the majority of people. If you are in public, it's somewhat a different matter, but people still try to maintain privacy even when in public. I understand the motive, but the ends don't justify the means, not to mention the fact you would probably put every policeman out of work as they wouldn't be as necessary to enforcing the law. Anyways, that's my two cents, but on a much funnier note, imagine if you broadcast your life out in public. It might look something like this... Twitter in Real Life |

A less invasive way of using RFID chips to allow certain people into a building is a simple card, and we already have those. |
