Clicky

The ****.
I'm pretty sure the only thing you could use on an airsoft replica(not toy) to convert it into a real gun is the stock, and you don't even need a stock to have a working gun.
Oh, and why would a criminal or terrorist attempt to make their weapons from something that fires plastic pellets when they could just get a gun from a less reputable dealer.

The article says an alternative to getting a gun. Granted, like you said, it isn't the greatest alternative. It's much easier to find a street dealer or pawn shop to get one from rather than converting a toy into the real thing. Anyways, sometimes news outlets have a hard time finding good news and default to this weak stuff. Oh well...such is the world of news. I'd rather see the dramatic stare squirrel clip over and over than have pointless articles like this. Much more enjoyable and entertaining. :D

This is a bit like reporting that aerosol cans can be turned into flamethrowers.

I was gonna say this.

Other than that, I don't know about the lethality of airsoft guns, but without the orange barrel tip, they suuuurrreee look like their real counterparts.

They fire plastic pellets, the worst they can do is leave a welt. =\

Well,

This is not suprising at all. If someone wanted to do something bad enough, they will do it. And no doubt, someone would have to know the inner workings of a real gun, and how they worked as well as how to put parts in the right places in the airsof equivalent. What my reccommendation would be is for these airsoft-gun producing companies to make all of their guns with special features in them which cant be modified, without rendering the whole airsoft gun useless, forcing the modifier to buy a new airsoft.

Cheers, dafin0

wouldn't the metal and stuff inside the toy guns need to be replaced etc

i mean firing a real bullet is very didffernt from firing a pellet.

Yes, it would. Over where i am, it's illegal to have any kind of firearm (projectile expelling...etc airsoft), unless you have a purpose and a license. And it also has to be shot at a range or, in the country.

The only difference is how the pellets are fired. These idiots are modifying the bullets holding position and how its fired. Wannabees, plain and simple. They dont have the money to buy a real gun, so they do this instead. If they actually went up to a company and showed them how they did do it, The company should hire them so they can give ideas on how to modify them so this cant happen. did i also mention that they are breaking the law as well :|

I mean, just go buy a real gun and save yourself the trouble...or does FOX think that criminals/terrorists who are serious enough to use guns don't even know how to get a hold of them?
