Post subject: | Rubik's Cube |
I have had my Rubik's Cube for about a year now and have taken a bigger interest in it the past few weeks. So I just thoughti would post a topic about it. Feel free to discuss anything you like about it: your best times, strategies etc. My times range from around 1:30 to 2 minutes flat. I currently am stuck in that time area and dont really know how to get faster, besides lubing my cube which I dont care enough to do. |

Ah I love my Rubik's cube! I was the "Cube Kid" freshman year in my highschool. My top time was 53 seconds, and now I average around 1:25 seconds because I haven't done it in forever ![]() |

I can solve 3x3 and 5x5 in less than 20 minutes, usually. |

My best time is about 1:20. Average probably 5 minutes including when I was learning. It's quite fun at times, but can get boring very easy. I made a bit of money last year betting people I could finish it. ![]() |

I'm rubbish at them, or at least I assume I am- I never seem to have enough patience to stick at it for more than 2 minutes. |

Cool found the topic LOL. Nice to see someone other than me likes to mindlessly play with a cube ![]() ![]() Just some tips: - Get a proper speed cube! - Lube it up - Learn F2L (First two layer) where you put together the corners and the middle pieces together in one go. Shaves off seconds ^^ Post a vid pl0x ![]() |

I have been wanting to lube it but I dont have any non-toxic lube in my house and really dont want to buy any. I will definitely post a video in a week when winter break starts and I have time. I am also getting a 4x4 for christmas and ill post a vid of that too. |

I've been doing it since last year and I do about the same time as you nikeballa. Never really practiced doing high speed moves or really put in the effort of solving it quicker. I'm just glad I know how to solve it and just knowing how to solve it was my main motive for trying. That and some kids at school were trying to do it so I figured that then was the best time. ![]() |
