i just found this on another forum... umm it's not for the faint of heart. even i felt a little sick after reading it

Spoiler for you have been warned:

I recently bought a used PS2 slim on craigslist because my fat one has issues. I got the system for $30 which was quite a deal. I played on it for maybe 2 months and then it suddenly broke down on me. So I decided to open it up and try to fix it, but guess what I found................COCKROACHES!

YES, YOU JUST READ THAT: I FOUND DEAD COCKROACHES THAT HAD NESTED INSIDE THE PS2, AND THEIR **** AND EGGS WERE ALL OVER THE PLACE!

You can clearly see the eggs and poop in the last picture!

As gross as this **** is, we gotta give this PS2 credit for possibly being the only system on earth to ever house some dirty little cockroaches!

That's not counting the cockroaches that are infested deep down in the system. I still didn't open the cover that shows the motherboard, and I don't think I want to. That's also not counting the cockroaches that fell on the carpet while opening up the system. I guess it's time to wash my hands and vacuum the **** carpet!!!!!

Cockroaches are just insects that thrive in filthy environments, homes where people don't clean up food, etc. Apparently they can even survive the fallout from a nuclear explosion.

That ps2 was pretty gross, that's why you should clean your house.

This is exactly why I seldom buy things off of Ebay and Craig's List. I hate these "surprises" that you sometimes get. Wonder if the owner did that on purpose... ugh :cry:

Wow that's quite disgusting. I am quite sure that I won't open my ps2 up even when it breaks. (hopefully not) I wonder if those were put in by the maker or cause that person's house/room was dirty.

Did this "ps2/roach sandwich" thing have a warranty???. From what you showed me. I am assuming that this console wasn't used for a long time and probably stored away in a area filled with great-aunts, great grandmas etc before it was sold :?. I would say the first place you went wrong is going onto craigslist. Always Go to a well-known auction site when it comes to buying electrical goods (I reccomend ebay). And take a peek at the user rating. This is vital when you are buying because when that user rating declines, It means that what they sold wasnt in good condition, or after a while, breaks down. Then again, for 30 dollars, you can't go wrong

P.S. did the roaches increase the memory :lol:

That's the most appalling thing I've ever seen that is about a video-game console. I've heard that there was once some semen found inside of an old Xbox before, but that doesn't even hold a candle to this.

****. Remind me to not open my PS2 for any reason, even if it's just to clean out the dust.. Honestly I don't expect mine would have much of anything in it other than dust. I've always run it above floor level, and usually it was in a cabinet.

Still, that's what you can get when you get something used...

Glad mine was through a reseller that checks these things...cost me more but I am insured a warranty and no roaches!
