Do you believe in getting married? I know a couple of people who would just like to boyfriend and girlfriend forever, but not marry. I personally believe that if a couple loves each other enough, they should get married, and possibly start a family. I believe that the people who do not wish to marry after three or more years are the ones who cheat on their lover, or are not loyal. I wouldn't rush it in a relationship, though. I'd take it at the right and steady speed, and possibly pop the question at about 7-12 months of dating, I'm not one to rush, and ask the question under 5 months. 5 months is pushing it, though, I think. I'm going off topic, but yeah... Do you believe in getting married? |

what is the point of marriage nowadays...? Spouses cheat on each other, divorces are rampant, "dysfunctional" families are everywhere... It's basically like having a bf/gf and just getting a shiny ring and some good cake... EDIT: Basically, no, I don't |

Yes, I believe in marriage. Similar to what Steven has said, bf/gf only allows cheating to be more "acceptable." On the flip-side, if someone feels that they can't exactly be faithful to their future spouse, then they have no business getting married. Marriage means more than "reserving/claiming" the person you like.  |

lol marriage means nothing, heres why i think this. my aunt and uncle (i call them that because my blood aunt and uncles are SOB's who chose to not be in my life...they are just really close family friends...anywayz..) are marryed. they fight ALL THE TIME just today she pushed him in the shower because she was mad. (LOL) they've thrown their rings in the woods so many times during a fight they gave up on getting new ones. they are marryed but to say they love each other is a lie. then theres people like my *** aunts (yet again, not blood) that love each other but cant get marryed. (im not trying to bring up ***'s, im just compairing) so to me marriage means nothing, its just a reason for a women to beg for a ring (its a joke people! its a joke...) on the note of cheating, if someone is going to cheat their going to do just that, ring or no ring. |

Yes I do believe in marriage. There's different types of people out there. Some who marry out of love and affection, and some that marry for the fun. |

I don't no. The whole point of a marrage is to be joined together in the eyes of god or some ****, I don't believe in god I don' believe i need to prove my love and I don't think being married puts me at any less of a risk of being cheated on. If you're a good boyfriend you'll be fine is my opinion. I'd still get married but it'd only be if she wanted to cause i understand to some people it's a big deal. It wouldn't be in a church or any of that ******* though if i had my way. |

Well I am an atheist so I don't believe in god or the bible. But Yes I want to get married if I was to start a family, but I probably wouldn't get married in a church. |

Yeah I do. Yes I believe in true love, (Yah,behind my evil face, I sometimes have weaknesses LOL) People who love each others enough should get married. If they do enough, I believe it can even last forever. I actually want to get married someday, Oh yes, I'm a big moron haha. I believe that husband and wife means way more love than gf and bf. Idk, I just think that marriage is the ultimate thing to prove you will love your parthner forever. Something that annoys me as hell in marriage, The priest; -Oh so you will love her forever and even if... -OMFG STFU OMFG, IM WITH FOR 10 YEARS NOW. I THINK I KNOW WHAT I AM DOING,BY THE WAY, THATS PROBALLY MAKES 45 YEARS THAT YOU ARE IN COUPLE WITH YOUR RIGHT HAND! SO YOU'RE BETTER TO DONT **** ME OFF. YES I LOVE HER AND IT WILL BE FOREVER OMFG! Well I don't like churches, the whole thing about building thousands of places of worship of something/someone that doesn't excist is mind-boggling to me so if I could get married by some ship's captain that'd be reasonable. |

I'm not really into the whole religion thing, so it doesn't sway my opinions about this topic whatsoever. First and foremost, I am interested in the opposite ***, but I have no interest in getting married. If I were to get married (in some extreme case) she would have to be intelligent, beautiful and bring in at least upper middle class salary. However, I just don't think everyone getting married is right. I believe that I should just die without leaving any kind of legacy or child behind me. The world population continues to grow as every second passes by because birth rate is higher than death rate. Naturally, that would mean more mouths to feed and more bodies to shelter, with limited supplies and resources. Eventually, a lot of us will die off at some point because the world can't support us all. Ya, so... that's my stand and belief on marriage. |
