o they've been having vaccine test for years but not many people are willing to test it considering they might get HIV themselves or have terrible side effects from it.

May not be a cure now but it's a step in the right direction.

Intersting but I think that this part may put some people off "Before the transplant, the patient endured powerful drugs and radiation to kill off his own infected bone marrow cells and disable his immune system — a treatment fatal to between 20 and 30 percent of recipients"

Ever seen House M.D.?
In one episode a doctor thinks a patient has a form of cancer/tumor and then gives her chemo, but after the first trial he finds out that it was just an infection and the chemo destroyed her immune system. Thus, a simple infection that could've been cured in a day killed her.

Hence why I don't trust doctors. I always question them to see if they know what their doing.

Yea, me niether. That's why the government here is thinking about putting in tests that docters have to take every 5-10 years to see if they're still up to the job.
Look for a vaccine/cure for aids in 10-20 years if not longer, there's still alot we need to know about it before we go trying to make a vaccine.
