I know this movie is like 5 months old, but I saw it for the first time today. Amazing movie, in my opinion.

Spoiler for My thoughts on some parts of the movie, long spoiler:

The part where they're chasing that deer, and it runs into the building, defiantly creeped me out. As soon as I head the deer screaming, you know it was going down. Creeped the hell out of me, because it was so dark. But as soon as he went up the stairs and saw all of them, it was weird... They were just like, standing there, it looked like they were just holding their heads down and breathing heavily. What were they doing? I know they weren't eating the deer, because a little second later, when he finds the dog, the vampire that attacks him is eating the deer, not the ones in the circle.

Skipping a little bit later, after he gets hurt by his own trap, after shooting "Fred", that part with the vampire dogs, that was really suspenseful, because as he was crawling to his car, was really like one of those "For your life, GET UP AND RUN!" moments, but yeah, the scene after that, with the dog turning into a vampire dog, was really sad. Some of my family members who were watching it with me cried. Pretty sad moment.

Skipping later, again, with the ending... The whole part where he locks the woman and the kid in the little area, was also pretty sad. When he opened the drawer in the glass room, and he took out a picture of his wife and his child, was pretty emotional. He then grabs in and gets a grenade. WTF? Who just keeps a grenade in a drawer? At first I thought he was grabbing a pistol. But then, as soon as he pulled the pin, and ran at the vampires, that was one of the best endings ever. Makes you feel sad that he went out that way, but it was a badass way to go.

Great movie. If you haven't seen it yet, go and see it. It will defiantly keep you at the edge of your seat.

Great film and book. I suppose he keeps a grenade in his drawer because he needs some kind of weapon everywhere since there are vampire/zombie things everywhere. Is suspenseful a word ?

I love that movie!

I'll admit that I cried when he had to kill the dog. Oh well, I'm a sissy.

Every guy to ever own a dog in his life had to tear up during that part. A man and his dog have a relationship that can't be explained.

Yeah I was pretty **** close to it myself.

Was not a cool part. At all. Only ever cried at one film, and that was the bloody Green Mile. God I hate that film, it's too freaking good.

I haven't read the book, but supposedly the movie goes way off track as to how the book ends. Kind of sucks when the producers do that, especially seeing as the book ending made more sense than how the movie ended (or so I've heard).

I wasn't overly impressed with the movie, but whatever. Glad to see that if some freak thing happened, I'd be set if I stayed at my house in VT :D

Apparently in the book they aren't mutant 'zombies'. They are vampires, who are actually extremely intelligent. As opposed to the creatures in the movie, who are mentally slow. Not to mention the vampires are described as being "sexy", or at least the female ones. I think that at one part he is attracted to one of the female vampires, but i'm not sure. My friend told me about the book, so for all I know this is all wrong lol. But that's what he said.
