okay a star wars question for yall.

you are the supreme general for your empire, a new threat is approaching and you need to create an army quick. you have two choices

your main army shall be battledroids where in almost every battle you shall outnumber the enemy. they will be fast to built, easily recycled, and relatively cheap.
downside, the programming is still second hand at best therefore the faults can easily be exploited and of course blow up the control ship and army is done.

or build a clone army where they are smarter, faster, and gain experience as they continue to fight. however, they are more expensive to get, longer to train, and you can't exactly recycle a body part.

what you pick ? :P

it's 11:30 and i'm watching the star wars clone wars animate series right now.

stick with those elite clones than those fodder droids.

it's like starcraft, 3 armies of zerglings can easily be blown to pieces with 5 siege tanks. with some firebats up front.

the clones always win so i pick

build a clone army where they are smarter, faster, and gain experience as they continue to fight. however, they are more expensive to get, longer to train, and you can't exactly recycle a body part.

Go with the droids. Send wave after wave of machines into the battlefield; eventually the clones will be overwhelmed and fall victim to the Dark Side.

Build clones, the droids die out long before the clones/stormtroopers die out.

The Electro Magnetic Pulse grenade, also known as the ECD or Electrostatic Charge Detonator, was an anti-droid weapon often used by the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars against their battle droid opponents.

Like any grenade, they were activated and thrown into the vicinity of nearby droids. In a simillar effect to the EMP Launcher, the detonation resulted in a shell of disruptive electrical energy that damaged and disabled electronic systems.

As with the EMP Launcher, it was not quite as effective against organics, but was still capable of electrocuting lifeforms caught in the blast. Detonations also temporarily disrupted the sensors and visual displays of a clone trooper's helmet systems for a few seconds.

makes sense if you think about it, it's relatively a safe grenade.

what ticks me off is ( i doubt you guys even bother to see the series), general grevious had a flagship that had a an ion cannon which could disable any ship, but if the republic would just turn off main power they could escape the ion cannon unharmmed and then run away.

Is it really necessary to blow it up?

And as a general, by any chance am I like a big Sith Lord or just some puny underling who thinks he has command but is just a puppet of the force user?

this makes sure that the enemy cannot use the planet, and sends a message to the galaxy. join the enemy lose your planet.

and you're not a puppet you are supreme general of your army. so political thing and whatnot. you're just defending your home

I'll come out of the closet and say I've seen a few episodes of it :P and I'd probably pick quality over quantity but I guess it would depend on the situation. Since the first episode had 3 clones survive a brigade of droids (with Yoda though), I'd go with them. Republic Commando also convinced me to go with clones ... although there's not many elite ones like the 4 there -They're pretty much great at everything and had one casualty for about for some-thousand enemies (assuming you don't suck at the game that is).

republic commando was an awesome game. it made me feel that brothers in arms HH was based on that game. although RC did a better job IMO
