because its a 'offensive weapon'

he is 78 years old! did they really think he was going to start a riot?

It's story's like this when i think we only get half of what happened. I find it so hard to believe they'd be that stupid. XD

That kind of reminds me of Gandalf from Lord of the Rings.

In the second movie the guards are supposed to take all weapons from the group but they don't take Gandalf's staff because he says "You wouldn't part an old man from his walking stick, would you?" so they let him keep it, yet he attacks the king guy.

Yeah, I'm obsessed with Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.

i could understand if it was one of thouse gun/cane things but its not. :?

I don't know, I wasn't there. We have to go by what the newspaper tells us and newspapers write story's that sell. For all we know he could of been waving it about dangerously, I could see how it could be seen as a weapon of sorts then although personally I'd not surround the guy and disarm him but who knows how it really went down.

well let's see. pretty much anything can be classified as a weapon, such as: shirts (strangle), belts(strangle or whip), shoes (thrown). i guess we need to confiscate clothes now.

oh really? i norm only watch like the local news so i dont really know what other new to trust #-o

i still think it really happend though, but they might have gotten a little carryed away while writeing the story.

lol, it was me that said that...yes they are real. most of them shoot .22 rounds

Yep gun canes are real there are also gun cellphones gun purses and so on. they mostly shoot .22 LR
