It said he will set a goal, not pass a law. That article is overspeculating in many ways. Setting a goal could mean instituting programmes within schools that strongly encourage volunteering.

The point still stands. Where does he state that he would make this mandatory? He doesn't. If you want to blow this out of proportion for the sake of being angry over something, then go right ahead. The fact remains though.

That's nothing.. If he was saying he wanted you to do service 5 hours a day, 6 days a week, then maybe that's something to get worked up over. Two hours less a week you'll have to waste playing computer games and two hours a week you'll actually spend doing something that will probably benefit your lives in the long run. OH THE HORROR!

Thats 100 hours of runescape playing lol you could get perhaps 99 cooking in that time.
