I doubt this will be much of news to you but it happened in the store I work at. My best friend told me he saw it happen.

Quote:
A woman has been taken to hospital with stab wounds after an attack in a Littlehampton supermarket.
Police were called to the Somerfield store at Anchor Springs at about 4pm today (Tuesday, September 16).

The premises were cleared while forensic officers and detectives began their investigation, and an area around a checkout was cordoned off.

One man was arrested and is in police custody. The woman's condition is not known.

Tonight the supermarket remained closed and officers were still working inside.

This story will be updated later and a fuller version will appear in this week's Littlehampton Gazette, on sale on Thursday, September 18.

Wow.. must be pretty serious if they close the supermarket down for it.

I remember a few months back a guy walked in to a supermarket near here and sprayed some liquids on the vegetables and all the supermarkets in the local area got shut down on terror alert.. turns out he was a bit of a nutter and had sprayed urine on them..

My friend said everyone was throwing food at the guy as it was happening, I mean... you wouldn't wanna risk getting stabbed, he said he threw a box of cornflakes.

Nope, nobody (except the attacker and maybe the woman) knows why.

I'm working tomorrow, shop will be open. I'll probably find out more from from the local newspaper on Thursday as well.

From what Mark (My friend) saw, the security guard had taken the man down and customers had dragged the woman by her feet away leaving a trail of blood.

He described it as a horror movie.

One of my other colleagues was in tears.

That's really sad =[

If you find out more information, be sure to post it. I'm curious as to why the guy decided to attack her.

I hope the woman is alright.

Weird how she's still alive after 20 stabs in the chest.

ya, it is strange how being stabbed one time can kill, but someone survives 20 stabings, the human body is crazy.

Stab is pretty sketchy, really what probably happened was 5-10 actual stabs and 10-15 slash type movements that wouldn't kill a person and even then most of the stabs would be stopped by the ribs.

I'm suprised, Cant say more. People are seriously becoming crazy nowdays. You dont attempt to kill someone for no reason, unless you are totally crazy or a total morron. And even if they had a reason, To me, (ya i know i'm shouldnt talk lol :^o ) This is not THE way to solve problems.

In all honnesty, I'd wait 2-3 days before going back to work, Must be pretty scary
