Today John McCain announced his Vice President, (R) Sarah Palin, the governor of Alaska. I think this is a great move by Mccain, now he will draw the votes of Hilliary Supporters. I personally like he stances on several issues, including gun control, drilling for oil in alaska, and he abortion stances. Here are some links below to make your mind up on her.

i agree 100% with what you said, all the woman right's people well vote for him all the gun lovers well vote for him etc etc. i think that was a smart move, and now obama is **** lol.

i think this is what is going to make him win, if he does.

i like her because of her gun control stance.

eh. I'd rather have a black guy than a women. Not that I discriminate against women but I feel that it would be more historic to have a black man being president in a country that enslaved black people less than 200 years ago.

I hope people would vote for what's best for their country, not for what's "historic".

I think she's a very interesting choice as candidate. It really evens out the playing field with Palin as the choice. Along with that, Alaska has three electoral votes so..yeah.

yeah, and it'll be really historic when obama brings the troops home and the war comes with them.
you shouldnt vote for someone because of their coloer or gender, historic or not.
i dont give a crap if they were slaves 200 years ago or not, they arnt anymore.

Bring the troops home is a dead topic now, we just signed a treaty with Iraq to have all troops out by 2011.

Meh, I don't like McCain.
I don't like his stance on abortion.
If you don't like abortion- cool. But don't force your views on others by making abortion illegal.
Even if abortion was illegal, women would have them anyway and it'd be very unsafe.
I know if I became pregnant in high school/college I'd get an abortion. I'm not going to let one mistake ruin the rest of my life.

I also don't like his views on *** marriage.

And I think Hillary supporters would rather see a democrat win more than a republican that has a woman vice president.

To me and several others, McCain's pick of Palin shows how desperate McCain is. To John McCain: women are not stupid; Palin is no Hillary Clinton. One is for women's rights and one is against (abortion, etc). Go figure.

i believe cain could have picked a better choice but i think he's doing this politically. i think if he had picked a white guy people might think he's highly conservative and doesn't want to try and change america.

i think obama picked biden because he's been playing politics for a while now and since so many people have always critized him for being inexperienced he might help to even things out. anything he doesn't know what to do he can ask his VP.

being president doesn't mean you'll make decisions that are good or bad, it's about losing less.

Here is what i find funny about Obama picking Biden. Obama's campaign is all about change, bring change to America. Then he goes and picked Biden as his Vp, someone who has been in the senate for 23 years and has done nothing at all, except make a career out of politics.

Eh, I think McCain has it in the bag now.

There really isn't any reason to choose Obama other than the normal, same old Liberal votes. There is nothing special about him. Sure, his skin color is going to be a first if he wins. It's not that important. I wouldn't think about voting for somebody whether they were purple or green. Gender really isn't that big of a deal, but considering there are TONS more women in the USA than there are black people, i would have to say that choosing Palin gaurentees the win. She's conservitive enough to get him the republicans and she's woman enough to get the crazy feminist's vote.

People see the television and think that conservative views are dead and wont give power to the votes. That's just because they had a failure of a president last time and becuase the democrats are putting up a big show this year.
Republicans are still here, and there are still just as many. I think that McCain has a really good chance to win now.

-----as for Biden, he's a dusty old fart who only knows the words "Yea" and "Nay". He wont change anything, except to add a white face to a black campaign.

All sorts of stuff is coming out about Palin. Digg is just clogged with skeletons being thrown out of her collective closets. If any of this stuff turns out to be credible and makes it to the mainstream media, McCain is royally screwed... Or should be... But you know what the American electorate is like.

"Crazy feminists" won't be voting for Palin though, as she's against women's rights

I like McCain better than Obama. It just feels like his voters are extremists. :|

Anyways, Democracy fails. It only works if you agree with it, then it's best to favor a totalitarian government. :\
