Do you think the goverment should tap into untouched gasoline deposits? They say that humans were meant to use of all of the earths resources. I don't think so, because people should be able to live with not driving so much. And with all that Global Warming stuff, I don't want America to get a reputation like China and India. ![]() Yeah, cars pollute to much, and once we tap into those deposits, our future could be set into extinction, if were not careful. |

I think we should tap away, I'm tired of paying $3 & $4 for gas. Tap into the oil! As for extinction, well that's called natural selection, imo. The smart ones will survive. |

I think it should find a solution to our fuel problems, not prolong them. It's about time we stopped depending on this stuff. |

Switch to Nuclear power, or perfect the hydrogen fuel cell. Until then, use fossil fuels. |

well you still need fossil fuel for hydrogen. tapping in our reserves will mean what? 5-10 years cheaper gas? think of the long run. you destroy a nature reserve for a buck cheaper for gas for a few years then it jumps back up. all you did was destroy a habitat for a few hundred years. |

Don't take this to heart but . . . In 5-10 years, most of us will be out of college and into our salary jobs. (I will anyways.) So your idea sounds good to me, because right now, just starting college and working a part-time/full-time job, I can't afford the gas and also afford food, apartment payment, car payment, etc etc. So therefore, when I'm in my salary job in 5-10 years, paying for the higher gas won't be much of a *groan* or pain in my neck to do. Imo. |

I realize it would cause greater problems in the end, but I'd be fine with that because I'd have the money then to pay for the expense of the current problems that exist in the 5-10 years rather than having the money now. Does that make sense or no? I would agree with you, if you got it and just didn't like the fact that I'm being selfish. |

No, we have places to go like Work and sport events, saying stop driving does nothing. I think we should tap into it, and drill off the shores, by the time that runs out (which by using both is like 15-20 years) We will have cars using hydrogen. Currently Air powered cars are being sold in India and will be for sale int eh US nex year, there get 800 miles with a 8 Gallon take of gas. You just have to charge the air tank. |

Your forgetting Global warming. Thats why I mentioned extinction in my first post. Humans can't survive UV radiation. And what I mean by drive less, is ride your bike more, maybe car pool once or twice, if you can. Just try not to drive when you could car pool or ride a bike or walk. |

When are you proposing the UV radiation to kick in and humans unable to survive? When, as in a date. |
