Post subject:  A recent reading quote...

Just today, I picked up a copy of Java for Dummies, 4th Edition. I found a quite interesting quote in the book:
Quote:
In a recent estimate, the number of lines of code written each day by programmers in the United States alone exceeds the number of methane molecules on the planet Jupiter.

To me, I find this quite interesting. Any thoughts?

I think that when machines take over the world, they'll kill the programmers first so that they can't make anything to fight back with.

Well said.

That is a lot of coding though. It's quite amazing that people can work out how many molecules of methane are on Jupiter.
