It's art when done properly (i.e not some retard spraying his stupid nickname) and not you know put on something that's public property. |

Since I'm into it, (stencils) I would be hypocrite if I told it was vandalism ^^ |

If it is obsenly in a public place, yea it is bad, but if it on a building that it is ok with, then go for it. It's art |

It really does depend on how good it is and where it's done. Interestingly, the Vatican museum in Rome has graffiti on stone slabs on display that dates back to pre-christian times. So Graffiti is not such a new art form or occurence as people imagine. |

Well, I don't know if those who take the train to London via train via Kings Cross, but some guy is signing his name "TOXIC", it does get pretty annoying. But I really don't care for it. It makes the city look bad. But it looks cool, though. |

Art as long as it looks good. Could some give me the names of some great and famous graffiti artists ? |

If it's something artistic, then I think it's quite cool, and I like it. But it's when people spray random crap that looks disgusting that I find it stupid. |

It's not even talented it's just someone taking some white spray and writing there name, stupid thing to do in my book. Taking an empty wall and drawing a big picture on it, is art IMO. Theres a skate part near me that a few years back invited graphite artists to come and add there part to the park it's a cool place to look at now, that's art. |

It's art as long as they have permission to do it in the area it's in. Otherwise it leans more towards crime but it is still art either way. People at my school get mad that the washrooms are continuously cleaned of all graffiti and the principal's long talks about it not being acceptable in the washroom- I don't get why the students get mad. They say it's art, but I really think it's vandalism because they know fully well it's not permitted there. There are like 5 designated walls not reserved for the grade 12 mural projects where graffiti is tolerated. It's art when it's created to be art, and not because it makes you bad ***. And if your making it to be art, and you know you're not allowed to in the area you are, you're just an idiot. |

Great, I'm the only one who says crime ![]() It's a crime all the time if it is done without permission, at least in the legal sense. However, I do know that it can be art, but just because you think you're tough **** you can't go around putting your "art" all over a building. 90% of the time the "art" wouldn't be there long enough for anyone to give it a good critique anyway. |

I voted Crime, unless it actually looks like art. If its done where its not supposed to be done, then definitly crime. |

Ill say, Art, if it is really something that is drawn and took time, and Crime if it is some punks nametag or initials. |
