First, to clarify, this is not a health based topic. Do not discuss the major unhealthyness of fast food here.

I'm just trying to figure it out. Why do we eat McDonald's? I just got done eating 2 double cheeseburgers, I'm not full, and it has a sub par taste. Not to mention its looks aren't too appealing.

This is what a McDonald's ad shows for a double cheeseburger:

This is what it is really like:

Why eat at it when you have places like Arby's (my favorite fast food) with food that actually tastes really good? Take the large roast beef for example.

What Arby's shows:

What you get (sorry, this is the best picture I could find, and it is a bad one):

Now they may not look quite the same, but are much more similar than the cheeseburger, and the large roast beef is LOADED with meat. I love them.

So why do we get McDonald's food? It is lukewarm, not supreme tasting, looks junky, and basically flat. I want to hear some opinions (not health related!).

Giant roast beef sandwich > Large roast beef sandwich

Actually, Culver's is better than any of them. As a South Dakota Homie you have one of those too. ;D

I suppose the main reason I personally eat mcdonald's is because as long as I don't eat it all the time I'm not going to become 300lbs. I actually like the chicken selects and the parfaits. I like a quarter pounder/double quarter pounder with cheese occasionally. (Sometimes a combination of any of those, I eat a lot.)

Maybe it's just because I like cheeseburgers, but I can enjoy eating at McDonald's. Also, the food depends on the franchise. I have a very good McDonald's around me, and I enjoy eating there. However the one in Pierre is dreadful.

I've had Culvers. It's pretty good, but a long long time ago someone posted here about Culvers being the most unhealthiest restaurant.

(I think it was Chris, bummerboy then)

I think the majority of people who use McDonald's is, they're hungry, or are coming home late from work, no time for dinner, and it's just there, and it's cheap.

I sometimes order McDonald's if I just want a quick snack, but I don't make it a habit.

My suggestion- Subway ftw :D

I usually have it like once or twice a week.

At the moment I don't really worry about health.

But the way I'm going I will probably have to soon. Culvers has great food though for a fast food restaurant, and they get a big +1 from me for selling cookie dough ice cream (or frozen custard).

5'5 and a half, 120 pounds. STILL OKAY. :D

Quizno's > Subway

The only problem with Culver's is that their burgers are really really thin. 2 burgers = 1 burger.

And it was me that said they are the worst. Their 4 piece chicken has >2000 calories ;o

Over 1000 calories from fat O_o (116g)

I think I've only eaten McDonalds once this year- so I don't really go there. And I know I've never went there and payed for my own stuff. XD

My stepfather asks the same question sometimes. He has lunch at various restaurant places during the time he can find at work, and sometimes he just feels like going to McDonalds, but comes out thinking how much a waste of money it was and was still hungry. XD And then he eats all the dinner with out leaving any for us. D: (Not really lol)

How come the calories of the 2 piece is more than half of the four piece?

I don't eat burgers at McDonalds anyway, if I wanted a burger, I'd go to Burger King. I have the chicken nuggets, and I think they taste nice, no matter how much of them are real. I also like the chips, maybe that's just me.

I eat it partly because it's a treat. If I want McDonalds I have to take a 1-2+ hour drive over the border to ger it, :( .

Ew, Burger King.

...Thank goodness I never eat Culver's chicken anyway. I usually eat 3000+ calories a day so with that...o.O

McDonald's fills me up and doesn't cost a lot comparing to Subway for example which I always leave hungry and with barely money left since they charge nearly $6 for some crappy sub.

It's a dinner plate. That would mean there's other stuff, also.

Well I believe that most of the time, people like to go to MCD's because they're accustomed to it. They know that its a cheap meal, but it fills them up. Also because it is pretty convenient if you ask me. Children like to eat at MickyD's because of the toys and play rooms, and as they get older, they get used to going there. So there are my views.

Oh and BK ftw. :)

I don't like McDonald's around here, so I only go there if I really have to and no other places around, but I mostly buy some stuff from Jimmy Johns they have best subs ever, and taste better than subways and are some what cheaper, oh well that is just in my area i usually go there 1-2 times a week, i've been only twice to mcdonalds this year.

Why do -i- eat at McDonald's?

I don't. I don't like the food, i don't like the fact the person serving me can't understand a word I'm saying,i don't like how my order is always messed up. I don't like the watered down coke.

The only good thing is, from what i can see, there restaurants are usually really well cleaned.
