Post subject: | My dilemma |
Ok, so I have a little dilemma. My little brother is 7 years old, and has a collection of bear's he calls "BooBoo 1-5" But, that's not my dilemma, my dilemma is what he does to the bears. They are his so-called 'sons' and he takes them everywhere. But wait, there's more. My mother spends money on these bear's. At first it was 5 dollars for a little backpack or something for it. Then it rose to 10 dollars for something else, and then it just kept growing and growing. So far I estimate she has spent 20-40 dollars...ON EACH BEAR. He has 5 bears, let's say she spends 30 dollars on each. 30*5= 150 DOLLARS..On bloody toy bears. I am rather annoyed at this. He even has a little purple pram to push them around in. He takes them everywhere, and quite frankly, I am embarrased. So, I need some advise: He comes and wakes me up, I open my eyes to see 5 bears, all in different outfits. I think it's disgraceful, and I have told him that, But the thing that REALLY annoyes me is that my mother has spent more money on these bears than she has on me. So, please advise me, how should I go about this? |

Talk with your parents how you feel about this and they might figure something out. And the bears will eventually be pu away when your brother gets older, trust me, he will. |

Got a fireplace? If not dig a hole in the backyard...haha Yah the best thing to do is to talk to your parents about it, maybe tell them to start getting rid of them. |

Yes, I admit that at the age of 7 I did have a soft toy, but it didn't have accessories worth $120+... Alexandr wrote: My mom spent $2500 on a vacuum cleaner.
That's downright ridiculous. |

Why should they give a rats *** about how you think they should spend their money?? I kind of agree with you there. It's their wallet, they earn the money, they are going to be the ones paying for it. I don't worry much about it since I have a job. But when you are living in a family, you don't have to be selfish and be the one buying what the hell you want because you are earning the money. You have to think about other members of the family even if it's your money. Because it wouldn't be called a family if anybody was doing what the **** they wanted. |

In your mums eyes hes properly her baby, and the youngest always get more attention and spoilet abit more.. Might not be a bad thing.. what do you have to be embrassed about, hes not you, only your brother... i dont think you got any right to be angry.. Edit (mike, shane, are you pair homophobic? why is *** cencored...) |

well you have the right to be angry but there's nothing to be angry about. don't you know the youngest always get the most toys. it's the rule of the world. if you want to get rid of the bears, when he's gone take them burn them in the backyard and say "smokey the bear was teaching them how to be safe but failed. remember little bro, only you can prevent forest fires." |

Ok...Let me go through some things. First thing: I am not a yank, I am Australian, and as I have posted before in a survey somewhere, I am fine with gays. Secondly: Just in case some of you missed the 5 line or so- paragraph in the beginning of this thread...The thing that really annoys me is the amount of money spent on this little bear(s) can be spent on wiser things: clothes, food, drinks...invest it in the stock-market or something. I remember when I had a soft toy, it hard a jumper-thing it came with and that was it, I asked for something else for it, my reply: 'No, we've got better things to spend money on'. Oh, and Lucy...what was this comment all about? Lucy wrote: Ok.. Since he might be showing off him feminine side early.. I take it your a yank
